Moe's Story
Once upon a time, in 1987, a young man named Moe discovered his passion for food. He dedicated his time and effort to honing his skills in the culinary arts, graduating from a prestigious culinary and hotel school. Through his hard work and determination, Moe gained extensive experience in the restaurant industry, eventually finding himself managing massive restaurants on some of the world’s largest cruise ships.
During his many years in the cruise industry, Moe became a master trainer, teaching others the art of hospitality. He also had the opportunity to launch several ship start-ups in Monfalcone, Italy, where he developed a deep-rooted passion for the authentic Italian way of making pizza. Moe learned the importance of using top-quality ingredients, slow-rising dough, and hand-crushed pizza sauce made from the finest San Marzano tomatoes.
After his adventures on the high seas, Moe found himself in the vibrant streets of Brooklyn, New York. It was there that he fell head over heels in love with the iconic New York style pizza. The thin and crispy crust, perfect for folding and enjoying at any time of the day, captured Moe’s heart.
In 2005, Moe decided to bring the rich pizza culture of New York City to the sunny shores of Florida. But he wanted to do something extraordinary, something that would truly stand out. Thus, Mega Pizza was born. Moe’s vision was to create the biggest NY-style pizza pies, a whopping 30 inches across, while still maintaining the utmost quality and generous toppings that stayed true to his Italian roots.
Word quickly spread about Mega Pizza’s enormous and delicious pies. Pizza gurus and even celebrities flocked to his establishment to experience the goodness of his creations. What set Moe apart was his dedication to treating every single customer individually, paying attention to their unique needs and preferences.
Even to this day, if you visit Mega Pizza, you’ll find Moe behind the counter, still making each masterful pizza by hand. His passion for the art of pizza-making remains undiminished, and he continues to delight customers with his culinary expertise.
Moe’s journey from his culinary beginnings to managing restaurants on cruise ships, and ultimately creating Mega Pizza, is a testament to his unwavering commitment to quality and his love for satisfying customers’ taste buds.

The pizza here was good. Slices are unbelievably large. Great location and they stay open late, perfect for a late night snack at 8.75 a slice(meat lovers pizza). I suggest to ask for the butter to be put on the crust, it’s simply delicious!

September 19, 2023Omg!! Wish I took a picture it was so delicious. 1 slice of pizza is literally like 3-4 slices in one it’s crazy. Absolutely loved it. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town. Plus customer service was amazing can’t beat it.

Epic pizza for sure! Came to Miami planning to eat seafood and stumbled on this amazing pizzeria. It smells fantastic & the pizzas were huge, it tasted every bit as good as it smelled. I couldn’t finish my slice but it was delicious! We got 3 of these huge slices and 2 bottles of water for $40. Would highly recommend it. Employees were very friendly.

Pizza is amazinnnng and the employees are all superrr nice. I feel like they’re pizza taste so good too because I feel like they make it with love:) I go here almost every day!!! Frankie, Monty, Emmanuel, everyone who works there treat me like family, they’re super friendly. Great pizza and positive atmosphere:) Highly highly highly recommend MEGA PIZZA !!!!!!

The service was great and he totally let me neurotically pick the exact piece of pizza I wanted, to which he said “of course you can, we are here to help you!” I got a plain cheese but it was great! Thank goodness for a solid, yummy meal 👌🏻

Best place ever. Best pizza and the burgers are amazing. If your hungry and leaving the beach this is a no brainer stop at mega pizza. Nordine is the best great customer service and very respectful. He makes you feel like your family like you knew him for years. I absolutely love this place is five out of five stars

Me and my sister have been coming here for years every vist to Miami we have to stop and get ourselves a MEGA PIZZA because this is the spot Frankie and manual took care of us and couldn’t ask for better service , trust we will always be back , THANK YOU FOR YEARS OF AMAZING SERVICE DURING DRUNK NIGHTS AND HUNGOVER MORNINGS 😂😂😂😂

September 19, 2023Visited 2 weeks ago on our vacation in Miami Beach. My bf wanted hamburger (ground beef) on his pizza and Mega was the only one who had it in the vicinity. Walked a few blocks and was made a fresh large pizza. Pizza was delicious. Would visit again. Customer service was excellent and so was the restaurant itself. Cool little spot.

Great and fast customer service . The place is clean and well maintained . The slices are huge !! One slice per person is more than enough . I loved their both veggie versions. The veggies tasted fresh and the basil smelled and tasted yummy ! Pizza is not usually my go to - but this one was pretty good and would come back again !

October 29, 2023As a resident of Miami, dining at south beach/ocean drive is overrated. This place has always been our go to diner after a long night of clubbing at ocean drive! As a vegetarian I’ve never felt short of options with their flavors of pizza slices. Yummy delicious pizza for a throw away price at this location. And the owner and staff are the nicest people you’ll meet. Would love to go back!

Used to be a spring break tradition but is now part of my Miami experience I’m a nor’easter girl so I grew up out the great pizza you could get and I’ll always tell people New York but I’m reality mega pizza MiamI the actual BEST IVE EVER HAD ! The staff are super cool friendly and have been there for years best $5-7 bucks you’ll ever spend most of the boardwalk restaurants are expensive and disgusting . I tell everyone about Mega pizza and hope they always stick around. Tip :dont forget to ask for extra garlic butter on top and a big cup of the coolest best ranch they can give you . Stay blessed well and wonderful everyone who visits and who keep this place going .
